Here
are some recent responses from our audience survey about this years
Festival.
Tell
us about an Ojai Festival experience this year that you found to
be particularly meaningful.
- After an Ojai performance, your ability to listen and comprehend
what you hear increases dramatically.
- Although in general I am not a huge piano fan, I found Eric Huebner's
interpretation of Vingt Regards to be breathtakingly beautiful (if
a bit long).
- As a lifelong Zappa freak, I thank you very much for the evening
of Zappa music and the symposium. That was great!
- Ashish Khan - I am an Ojai resident and devotee of Indian classical
music and loved having a favorite locally.
- Benjamin's "Into the Little Hll" gave me chills, brought
back memories of reading/hearing the story as a child; wonderful
moral.
- Brought 4 friends to the 11 AM Sat 6/12 piano concert to celebrate
my BIRTHDAY! The little gopher who popped his head up near our picnic
was such a treat. Could never happen anywhere but Libbey Park!
- Eric Huebner's recital was fantastic. I loved the quality of attention
and devotion he brought to his playing, as well as his technical
and musical excellence.
- I am looking forward to the Ojai Music Festival each year!!! Throughout
of my 32-years-or-so attendance I have learned so much about, especially,
contemporary classical music. This year, I just cannot stop talking
about George Benjamin to my friends!
- I loved the Zappa concert because the music was new to me and
not what I expected from Zappa.
- Insights provided by Ara & Christopher again drew me into
the music & the performers; also enjoyed the community atmosphere
of Aashish Khan's outdoor performance of Ragas in the Arcade. And
to look around & reminisce and contemplate the new physical
changes...and still miss Betty Freeman.
