International engagements as a soloist as well as a chamber musician, e.g. at Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, Lucerne Festival, Summer Festival Hamm, and Ars Musica Brussels. Member of the Ensemble Phoenix Basel. Together with violinist Felix Borel and double bass player Wolfgang Fernow he makes up the Trio Ginkgo. Close co-operation with the Ensemble Modern since 2006. Guest musician of e.g. Klangforum Vienna, ensemble recherche, Chamber Ensemble Vienna, Collegium Novum, and Ensemble Contrechamps. Studies at the University of Music and Theater Hannover and at the University of Musik Basel with Prof. Hatto Beyerle; studies in chamber music with Walter Levin, members of the Amadeus and of the Vermeer Quartet, Rainer Kussmaul, William Pleeth, and Serge Collot. |
